Hockey Tasmania Board Opportunities

Hockey Tasmania seeks suitably qualified applications/nominations for the following roles:

 

Hockey Tasmania Elected Directors

Within the scope of the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM), two (2) Elected Director positions will be elected for a term of three (3) years to the Hockey Tasmania Board, by the Delegates from each of the Member Associations. Please see the Board Communication document for more details and official statement.

To be eligible for election a nominee must be supported by two members of a nominating Member Association/Affiliated Club, as well as endorsed by the President of the Affiliated Club.  Nominees must demonstrate how they meet the desired skills and experience to determine suitability for a position on the Board of Hockey Tasmania. Eligible nominees must also declare that they are not prohibited from holding the position of Director on the Board of Hockey Tasmania and agree to be bound by the Constitution and the Policies of Hockey Tasmania.

The Hockey Tasmania Board Director Position Description outlines the skills and experience the Hockey Tasmania Board is seeking and accompanies the 2025 Call for Elected Director Nominations document. Nominees are strongly recommended to review the Hockey Tasmania Board Skills Matrix which outlines the current recruitment priorities for the Hockey Tasmania Board.

 

Nominations for Elected Director must complete the following documents: 

1. Directors Nomination Form

2. Nominee CV (2 pages maximum)

 

Nominations close Friday 16th May, 2025.

To nominate for the position of Elected Director of Hockey Tasmania, please submit the nomination documents to the Returning Officer, Karlee Absolom at Hockey Tasmania by email (karlee.absolom@hockeytasmania.com.au).

Hockey Tasmania Secretary

Hockey Tasmania is seeking a new board secretary! The role is responsible for:

  • Preparing board pack in conjunction with CEO for monthly meetings
  • Taking minutes at each board meeting

(Meetings held last Monday of every month and generally go for 2-3hrs)
