JLW REGIONAL CHALLENGE 

The JLW Regional Challenge (June Long Weekend Tournament) is an annual event held in June on the Queen’s Birthday Long Weekend. Each region (South, North and North-West) is invited to enter representative teams in three age groups (Under 13, Under 15 and Under 18; Boys and Girls). There are traditionally two teams entered in each age group from the South.

In 2022 the event will be held in Hobart at the Tasmanian Hockey Centre, Bell Street New Town.  Games will be played over two days Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th June.

There is an online nomination fee of $12 payable to cover the costs of the regional selection trials. If selected there will be a further fee of $35 payable by each athlete to cover training and competition costs (Revsport fees apply).

Any registered club junior players may nominate to attend selection trials ONLY IF THEY:

· nominate for selection in their own age group – ie a player must be of the correct age prior to 1^st Jan 2022 

· are available to attend the selection trial scheduled for that age group

· are available to attend the training sessions scheduled for that age group

· are available to participate in all scheduled matches for their selected team in the JLW Regional Challenge in Hobart

(NB. JLW Trial Exemption Form must be completed if nominee unable to attend selection trial.  Players are still required to nominate even if unable to attend trial)
