U16 State Championships 2023/24

This years u16 state championships will be hosted in Devonport at Meercroft park. This event will be the first event that is part of the new State Championship model that Hockey Tasmania are introducing into their pathway system. This event will act as a trial for the new system, Hockey Tasmania will collate feedback post event and assess whether we will continue with the proposed pathway system.

This nomination will put the players forward for their regional team. All players that are competing at the State Championships will be eligible for selection for the 2024 u16 State Teams. Nomination for the state championships is $50 per person. Players that are selected for the State Team squad will be notified by Hockey Tasmania 1 week after the championships.

Players must be born after 31 Dec 2007 to be eligible for the State Championship nominations. 

Nominations will close on the 1st November at 9am.

The u16 National Championships have not yet confirmed location or dates for 2024. Proposed dates are the 7^th April to the 14^th April. As soon as location has been confirmed we will be able to provide a cost estimate for how much the State Team trip will cost.
