The Hockey Tasmania Board would like to provide the following notice and update regarding the upcoming AGM.
The 2023 HT Annual General Meeting will take place on Monday, 27th May, 2024 at 6pm (further details to follow).
At this meeting, three (3) Elected Director positions will be elected for a term of three (3) years to the Hockey Tasmania Board, by the Delegates from each of the Member Associations.
The terms of the following Elected Directors expire at the 2023 Annual General Meeting, and each is eligible to nominate for re-election to the position of Director:
• Jon Cooper
• Helen Wilkinson
The term of the following Elected Director expires at the 2023 Annual General Meeting, and is not eligible to nominate for re-election due to reaching the maximum term:
• Brett Withington
The term of the following Co-opted Director expires at the 2023 Annual General Meeting, and is eligible to nominate for re-election:
• Narelle Davey
Of the incumbent Directors eligible to nominate for re-election, both Jon Cooper and Helen Wilkinson have indicated they will seek re-election. Narelle Davey has also indicated she will nominate for election.
In accordance with the current Hockey Tasmania Constitution, the Hockey Tasmania Board may consist of up to nine members. Up to seven Directors shall be elected, and up to two Directors may be Board Appointed as Co-Opted members. No one gender is to constitute less than three of the Board’s membership unless the total number of Directors is nine, in which the minimum shall be four. At least one Director must reside at a distance of at least 100 kilometres north of the Hobart GPO.
Eligibility
To be eligible for election, a nominee must be supported by two members of a nominating Member Association/Affiliated Club, as well as endorsed by the President of the Affiliated Club. Nominees must demonstrate how they meet the desired skills and experience to determine suitability for a position on the Board of Hockey Tasmania.
Eligible nominees must also declare that they are not prohibited from holding the position of Director on the Board of Hockey Tasmania and agree to be bound by the Constitution and the Policies of Hockey Tasmania.

- The Hockey Tasmania Board Directors Nomination Form which nominees will need to complete and submit to the Returning Officer by the nominations closing date.
