Masters Finals Wrap-Up
What an incredible few nights of Masters finals fever last week! The competition was fierce, with plenty of nail-biting finishes, tight contests and multiple games coming down to the drama of penalty shootouts. A huge congratulations to all teams, players and officials for their efforts, and a special thanks to our umpires for their dedication.
Men’s Results:
🔹 1st Grade Men – A dominant University side secured the title with a solid 2-0 victory over Canterbury.
🔹 2nd Grade Men – OHA Red claimed the championship, taking down DiamondBacks 2-0.
Women’s Results:
🔹 1st Grade Women – After an intense 50-minute showdown between OHA and Canterbury ending in a 0-0 deadlock, the game was decided in shootouts. Canterbury held their nerve, winning 4-2.
🔹 2nd Grade Women – University Black and DiamondBacks fought out another tight contest, finishing 1-1 at full time. After one round of shootouts the score was tied at 2-2, the game went into a sudden death decider, DiamondBacks emerged victorious with a final score 3-2 win.
🔹 3rd Grade Women – Derwent and University battled it out in yet another goalless thriller. With everything on the line in the shootout, Derwent clinched the title 1-0.
