Hockey Tasmania is saddened to hear of the passing of Rowen Dick and pass our regards and best wishes on to Rowen’s family.
Rowen Dick, originally from Burnie, played for Queechy and then Uni and OHA before moving to NSW in 1978. He won Premierships with Uni in 1975 and 1976. While playing for OHA in 1977 he was selected as the 244th Kookaburra and played in the 1977 World Cup in Argentina. He also played in the 1st Champions Trophy in Pakistan in 1978 and again played for his country in 1979.
He was a dashing centre forward and renowned goal scorer.
He died last night aged 63. Survived by wife Cathy and three children.
